Update!!
Our Community showed up for Pumpkin Painting!
WE HAD 261 PEOPLE attend today!
It was a whirlwind and we had so much fun with you!
We ran out of pumpkins but we had backup canvases to paint so everyone was able to leave with something.

We thoroughly enjoyed opening night of Trailblazer Theatre Company’s production of “The Fourth Wall” and “A Murder Has Been Arranged”.
Huge congratulations to the cast and crew.
From the moment the lights came up, you could feel the energy in the room.
It is a delight to see such amazing local talent on our community stage.
Go see this show if you can! There are two shows remaining on Saturday, October 24. One at 2pm and the evening show at 6:30pm!
Thank you Trailblazer Theatre Company for bringing the performing arts to our community.

In ONE WEEK!!

Ms. Sheri proudly stands next to our NEW LEGO TABLE!!
We are thrilled to announce the addition of a brand-new LEGO table to our youth services department, made possible by the generous grant from the John Henry Eldred Jr. Foundation!
This LEGO table allows children to have a dedicated space to build, create, and develop critical STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) skills!
We hope this space helps to foster creativity and collaborative play among our youngest library users.
Huge Thank You to Charles Martin (Maintenance) for putting the table together.

This year, we will celebrate our 14th annual Trunk or Treat at the Library.
That first Trunk or Treat featured the Lamar Fire Department, Lamar Police Department and the Lamar Public Library.
Since that first event, it has expanded to other businesses/entities.
We are looking for volunteers to host a trunk at Trunk or Treat!

Friday Story Hour!
We are getting ready for spooky time, so we read “The Littlest Mummy” by Brandi Dougherty! Through the story we learned that, even though you are small, you are not too small to have big ideas to save the Halloween Bash or to make friends.
Then we made our very own little mummies using black paper, stick on eyes, and a white crayon for the wrappings.
Snacks and toothbrushes were handed out and we had free play to round off our time together!
