Barton County Ambulance District providers have over 80 years of combined service to Barton County. We appreciate each one of our team members for their dedication to BCAD and their commitment to serving in rural communities.

Those who serve others often do so without seeking recognition. Our EMS providers miss holidays, family gatherings, and sleep so they can be there for neighbors, friends, and strangers during moments of crisis. They answer the call with compassion, strength, and professionalism, knowing that even the smallest act of care can make a lasting difference in someone’s life. We are grateful not only for the care they provide our community, but also for the support they give one another as a team.

As EMS Week is coming to an end, we want to recognize and thank the leadership behind Barton County Ambulance District.

Our Board of Directors Judd Davis, Leisa Blanchard, Jimmy Smith, Jeron Bilyeu, Oliver Cornell, and Dr. Joseph Wilson along with EMS Director Chad Williams, provide the guidance, support, and vision that help our crews deliver high-quality emergency medical care to the citizens of Barton County every day.

Their dedication to our staff, patients, and community does not go unnoticed. Thank you for your continued leadership, commitment, and support of Barton County Ambulance District and the EMS profession.

National EMS Week began in 1974 when President Gerald Ford recognized the important role of EMS professionals across the country. The week was created to honor all EMS professionals who provide lifesaving care every day.

Since then, EMS Week has become a time to recognize the dedication, sacrifice, and service of EMS personnel in communities nationwide.

Thank you to everyone in EMS for answering the call when people need help most. 🚑💙

This national recognition highlights the district’s commitment to following the latest clinical guidelines, ensuring timely treatment, and improving patient outcomes. By delivering high-quality prehospital care, Barton County Ambulance District plays a critical role in saving lives and strengthening the chain of survival within the community.

This achievement would not have been possible without a collaborative effort between our first responder agencies and Cox Barton County Hospital. Their partnership and shared commitment to excellence in patient care are essential to the success of our mission.
