Lamar School District RE-2 is exploring the addition of a new leadership support position focused on either district facilities/maintenance operations or grounds management.
Over the past several years, our district has experienced significant facility growth and operational expansion, including the addition of new athletic and activity spaces, safety and security upgrades, technology improvements, and ongoing maintenance needs across all campuses. As a result, we have reached a point where the current scope of responsibilities is too large for a single individual to effectively oversee alone.
To better support our schools moving forward, the district will begin exploring an additional leadership position focused on either facilities/maintenance operations or district grounds management. At this time, the district remains open to identifying the strengths and experience of applicants as we determine the best structure for long-term support.
This role will be both managerial and hands-on in nature. The selected individual will help oversee day-to-day operations while also working directly alongside staff to support the upkeep, appearance, safety, and functionality of district property and systems.
The district is seeking individuals who:
-Take pride in their work and in the appearance of our schools
-Demonstrate strong problem-solving and organizational skills
-Work well independently and as part of a team
-Are willing to lead while also remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations
-Understand the importance of supporting students, staff, and the community through quality facilities and grounds
Those interested are asked to complete an application: https://bit.ly/ClassJobsLamarRe2 or call the Central Office at 719-336-3251.
The district anticipates interviews during the week of June 15th. The position is expected to begin on or around July 1, 2026, and will remain open until filled.
