Good morning! Yesterday evening we were dispatched to the 1000 block of Oak, for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival there was smoke coming from the front and rear of the house. We were able to make entry and knock the fire down pretty quickly, but the damage was extensive. No injuries were reported at this time. Thank you to Golden City and Jasper fire departments for the mutual aid. We’d also like to mention Lamar Police Department and BCAD for the additional support during this incident. We believe the fire originated from an outside source.
