We would like to thank everybody that came out to support the Memorial Park at the concert Saturday night. Almost $600 was raised that will go towards finishing the Famous Missouri Veterans Monument.

We would like to thank Not Ya Mommas Burgers and Lemonade food truck, Shiver Shack, volunteers Kathleen Dimond, Sue Bennett and Jantzen Davis and Scott Potter with the Lamar FD for hosing off fire-pit row.

And last but certainly not least, a BIG thank you to Sober as a Judge for donating the two-hour concert. I have heard from several people who attended the concert how much they enjoyed it and we should make it a "regular thing".

Tonights the night! Just a reminder that the classic cars will show up around 5pm on the east side of the Memorial Park (Broadway).

The concert will start at 6pm.

There will be some parking on the south side and plenty of parking on the west side.

Three tables will be setup to sell tickets. One on the west side and two on the south side. Please remember that this is not a free concert, it is a fundraiser with ALL proceeds going towards finishing up the Famous Missouri Veterans monument.

You may bring drinks but please do not bring any food. The food truck is coming all the way from Baxter Springs and they would appreciate your patronage. They have another event today so they will be here probably around 5:00 and hopefully start serving by 5:30 or so.

Mother Nature looks like she is going to be cooperating for the concert tomorrow night. It might actually be cool by the time the sun sets, so you may want to bring a jacket.

Below is a map of the Memorial Park. Areas highlighted are as follows:

Purple: No parking. This is where the classic cars will be

Green: Reserved for the food truck

Red: No parking

Blue: Pavilion where SAAJ will perform

Pink: Seating area for the concert

Yellow circles: Tables where you can buy your tickets

Orange: Parking areas

Not sure how soft the grass will be in front of the pavilion (pink area). There will be several spots on the concrete if the ground is too soft for a lawn chair. Obviously we will know more as the concert time approaches.

The office (old health dept building) will be open if anybody needs to use the restrooms.

The classic cars will be arriving around 4:30 and the concert will start at 6:00. The three tables will be setup by 5:00 for ticket sales; one on the west side and two on the south side. Please remember that this is a fundraiser, not a free concert. I have already had a few people tell me, in a joking matter, that they can just sit across the street or sit in their car and listen to the music for free. Donation buckets will be passed around throughout the night if you would like to donate more than the $10 ticket for the concert.

Thank you to everybody that came to the Quilts of Valor ceremony yesterday. Mother Nature held out long enough to honor these ten heroes.
