Meet Shane, Lamar Chamber of Commerce, Executive Board:
What’s up everyone! Shane here born and raised in Lamar, and proud to call this place home!
Not everyone gets the chance to pour back into the place that raised them but when you do, and you’re able to help bring people together, it’s something special. It’s a feeling you can’t really put into words. As a Chamber Board Member, I'm afforded this opportunity.
I’ve been employed SDS for the past 10 years, and honestly, it’s been an incredible ride. I’ve loved every minute of it and everything the organization stands for.
When I’m not at work, I’m all about family, staying active, and being out in the community. I’m big into golf, photography, and cooking but if I’m not doing one of those, you’ll definitely catch me out on the fields. I stay busy supervising 5th & 6th grade football, along with adult coed and men’s slow-pitch softball for the Lamar Rec Department.
Lamar isn’t just where I’m from– It’s home. It’s a tight-knit, supportive community, and being able to give back and stay involved means everything to me.
I’m excited to be part of this team and can’t wait to see what we accomplish together!
