A visit to the Free MARKet may mean fresh produce, pantry staples, and a little more breathing room in the household budget.

But sometimes that first visit leads to something else.

A parent may need help with childcare. A neighbor may need utility assistance. Someone who cannot easily leave home may learn about Mobile MARKet. Another person may discover an English class, case management, or a community resource they didn’t know was available.

Food may be exactly the support someone needs that day.

Or it may be the beginning of a larger connection.

Fisherman’s Mark was thrilled to host Coffee with a Cop, bringing community members and local law enforcement together for an informal opportunity to connect, ask questions, and get to know one another outside of an emergency or official setting.

Also in attendance were Lambertville’s mayor, members of City Council, the District Attorney, Fisherman’s Mark’s Executive Director, and community members who stopped by throughout the morning.

It was a beautiful day for conversation, connection, and community.

A big thank-you to Trinity Episcopal Church, Solebury, PA and the Trinity Youth Group for a wonderful visit to Fisherman’s Mark! 💙

The congregation recently collected supplies and assembled 75 personal hygiene kits for our neighbors, and members of the youth group came to the Free MARKet to deliver them in person.

But they didn’t stop there.

With youth leader Steve Wilson and group members Amanda, Andrew, Waker, Finn, and Tomm, they also took part in a Pizza With Purpose experience. They joined “Chef” Ricardo to make four pizzas with all kinds of toppings — and, of course, enjoyed the results together. 🍕😊

We loved having them here. The Trinity Youth Group makes a point of doing something fun and different each week, and we’re grateful they chose to spend one of those experiences learning more about Fisherman’s Mark and giving back to the community.

Thank you, Trinity, for the hygiene kits, the energy, and a very fun evening of pizza with purpose!

We love seeing how this all came together! 💙

Trinity Episcopal Church, Solebury, PA assembled 75 personal care kits for Fisherman’s Mark, complete with thoughtful cards created by their Church School children.

And the story doesn’t end there. The Trinity Youth Group brought the kits to Fisherman’s Mark and stayed for a little Pizza With Purpose of their own. 🍕😊

Stay tuned for the care kit delivery, a visit to the Free MARKet, and four very creative pizzas made with “Chef” Ricardo!

There's no better way to spend a workday than reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar to a room full of preschoolers — especially when you get to reach the part where the caterpillar works his way through chocolate cake, salami, cherry pie, a cupcake and more. 😄

Thank you for welcoming Jennifer Bimble Williford for such a sweet visit. We have a feeling she enjoyed story time every bit as much as the kids did!

We had a very special guest reader last week! Ms. Jenn, Executive Director of Fisherman’s Mark, joined our preschoolers for a reading of The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, followed by a special snack! 📚🐛

A big thank-you to Blue Angels Fastpitch - 13U Anzideo for stepping up to the plate for our community again this Halloween! 💙🥎

During their Halloween Round Robin on Saturday, October 31, the team will collect food for the Fisherman’s Mark Free MARKet — and they have a big goal: fill Coach Dave’s truck! 🚚🥫

Sometimes people know exactly what they need. Sometimes they just know they need somewhere to turn.

That might mean finding someone who will listen, help identify what could be useful, and connect them with the right program, resource, or community partner.

A first connection might be groceries, childcare, help with a bill, a Mobile MARKet delivery, a class, or simply a conversation.
