It is with profound sadness that the Bedford Business Association mourns the loss of one of our founding members, our longtime leader, and a true champion of the Bedford community, Meg Smith.

More than 40 years ago, Meg, along with several other business owners, helped lay the foundation for what would become the Bedford Business Association. She believed that when businesses worked together, they could strengthen not only one another but the entire community. That vision continues to guide our organization today.

Meg was also instrumental in creating the Bedford Trade Fair, an event that has brought together local businesses, organizations, and residents for four decades. What began as an idea to showcase our community has grown into a cherished Bedford tradition because of her vision, dedication, and unwavering commitment.

As President of the Bedford Business Association for many, many years, Meg led with integrity, compassion, and purpose. She had an extraordinary ability to bring people together, encourage collaboration, and inspire others to volunteer their time and talents. Her leadership wasn't measured by titles, but by the countless lives she touched and the lasting impact she made on our community.

Meg believed in Bedford. She believed in its businesses, its people, and its future. She gave selflessly, worked tirelessly, and always put the needs of the community ahead of her own. Her legacy can be seen in the thriving organization she helped build, the traditions she established, and the many friendships she fostered along the way.

On behalf of the Bedford Business Association, we extend our deepest sympathies to Meg's family and loved ones. We are forever grateful for her vision, her leadership, her generosity, and the example she set for all of us.

Thank you, Meg, for believing in this organization from the very beginning. Thank you for your years of service, your friendship, and your unwavering dedication to making Bedford a better place. Your legacy will continue to inspire us, and your contributions will never be forgotten.

Your impact on the Bedford community will live on for generations to come.

Rest in peace, Meg. You will always be a part of the Bedford Business Association, and you will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside you.
