KLONDIKE ISD NAMES LONE FINALIST FOR SUPERINTENDENT
May 26, 2026

The Klondike Independent School District Board of Education proudly announces Mr. Kenny Lowery as the Lone Finalist for Superintendent of Schools. The Board selected Mr. Lowery during a special-called meeting on May 26, 2026. State law requires a 21-day waiting period before he can be officially hired.

Mr. Lowery joins Klondike ISD with 22 years of experience in public education. Since 2022, he has served as the CTE Director for Big Spring ISD, where he initially launched his career as a Special Education Teacher and Coach. He also spent 10
years with Forsan ISD serving as Principal, teacher, and coach.

Mr. Lowery will be joined by his wife, Leasa. Kenny and Leasa have four grown sons: Dylan, Austen, Ragan, and Karson; two wonderful daughters-in-law, Emily and Katie; and three grandchildren: Oliver, Evelyn, and Easton.

• STAAR EOC Results — Available June 10, 2026
• STAAR Grades 3–8 Results — Available June 16, 2026

Reminder for field day tomorrow!

Here is the schedule for this year’s Track & Field Day on May 18th! Students need to wear clothes that may get dirty or wet. Parents, you may sit with your child during lunch. Dismissal will be at 2pm.

We will line the road today at 1:00 to send our state track qualifiers off to hopefully win some medals! Come support and cheer them on! 🥇

Worldstrides sees how popular this trip is for Klondike, and they want to offer an extension on the early discount for Costa Rica. We have 15 signed up so far, and I wouldn't want others to miss out on the discount! Savings are extended to June 18!
