🚗 Arrival Reminder

Please help us keep the school zone safe before and after school. Harrison Street in front of the high school is a one-way street during arrival and dismissal times. All students and parents should exit by traveling west. Thank you for driving slowly, watching for students, and showing patience as everyone settles into the school routine.

Final water update

Thank you all for your patience and your help on the situation. After the work on the Wells last week we are now gaining percentages and are allowing all residents to continue water usage as needed. Apologize for the extended conservation efforts but we appreciate everything y’all have done. have a great rest of your weekend.

Attention!

If you are a resident of Lamont and live in the city limits operating off of city water, between the hours of 5-7 this evening 7-29-26 we will be distributing water bottles and bulk water to help supplement with the ongoing water supply issues. Please bring a jug and come get some cases of water!

7-29-26 water update

If you have not received the one call message today, the city is pulling one of the wells off-line and doing some repairs. We are still pumping water to Town, but the pressure could be significantly less. We are hoping that after this well is finished this will help drastically towards the issue. We want to remind everyone if the pressure drops the bulk water trailer at City Hall is still full and available for use.Thank you once again for your patience.

End of day water update

We actually maintained volume today, conservation is helping. The city is going to be rebuilding and working over one of the main wells on Wednesday. This should help the situation a little once completed but our supply will be cut in half on Wednesday. We are still working on other solutions we appreciate your help and patients throughout this event. We will update again tomorrow.

7-27-26 water update

Over the weekend we have started losing pressure. The main issue has not gotten worse, but due to the wells working overtime they are starting to stress and and malfunction. We strongly stress, Please conserve as much water as possible. We are working on getting a water bottle supply for city customers. We will update when things change. 7-24-26 water update

As of today, our water percentage has continue to drop. We have not lost as much today as the past couple days, but still losing volume. once again we urge ALL water customers please conserve water. The tank at City Hall is available for all residents and is safe for all uses. Thank you for your patience once again.

7-23-26 water update

We are still working on a solution for the water system. Our storage system is still very low, We have attempted some small corrections but have not gained much progress. We still urge all residents to conserve water to the best of their ability, please no outside watering or unnecessary water usage. The water trailer is still in place at City Hall for residents to gather bulk water.

Water update…

The town of Lamont is still having issues with the water system. We ask that all residents please try and conserve water to the best of their abilities. With the help of Grant County emergency management, We have a water Buffalo placed at City Hall. You are welcome to come get water and use for whatever needed. It is safe for drinking, cooking, showering, etc. you do not have to completely stop using water, but please supplement to the best of your abilities. Thank you for being patient while we address this issue.
