Today’s the day! Have a good meal & help a good cause. Thank you Hill Country 100 Hill Country 100 Club for all y’all do!

Mark your calendars and help make lunch count.

On Friday, April 3, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, participating McDonald’s locations across South Central Texas will donate 10% of all sales to local 100 Club and EOW Relief chapters.

These organizations provide immediate financial and emotional support to the families of first responders who are killed or critically injured in the line of duty. That support can help cover urgent needs, ongoing household expenses, health insurance, and educational scholarships for surviving family members.

This annual Good Friday fundraiser has been making an impact since 2001, and every order during that window helps support families who have sacrificed so much.

Grab a meal. Spread the word. Be part of something that matters.

Scam, scam, scam!!! This one was texted to a local person in the middle of the night. It doesn’t even have a persons name on it. Just send money? Don’t do it!

Hearing from the families we serve is a reminder of why Hill Country 100 Club exists in the first place. To honor the fallen. To stand beside those left carrying the unimaginable. To help lighten the load when life changes in an instant.

We are deeply grateful for the trust placed in our organization, and for every donor, partner, and supporter who helps make this mission possible. Your generosity does more than give financially. It reminds families they are not walking through loss alone.

Whatever’s on the phone, it can’t be as important as what’s in front of you on the road. This Distracted Driving awareness month, TxDOT is asking everyone to always pay attention behind the wheel. https://ow.ly/kGMn50YBMU9

Let's just say it was a logistical nightmare but the thousand pound,1900s, granite topped bar, safely made its way from a store on South Congress Avenue in Austin to the freight portion of 1904 Santa Fe Depot. Why? Let's just say for now that the Lampasas Depot Foundation has a surprise for you as the evolution of the old Santa Fe depot and rail yard is moving forward. Mark your calendar now for Sunday, July 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. That's the Sunday after Spring Ho. Details to follow soon.

Special thanks to Blue Ribbon Moving out of Austin, Cathy, Hub, Eddie, Troy, Joe, Cindy and Andy for making it happen! Believe me, it took all of them. And thanks to Martha for photographing the move.
