The AVFD would like to extend our thanks to the flight crews and sign-up representatives from Air Evac 66 - Killeen. TX and CareFlite for spending the afternoon with us yesterday. It was a pleasure to meet some of the folks behind this life-saving service. If you missed the chance to come sign up yesterday, you can still contact them directly and join. It’s a game changer if you ever need it.

We’d also like to thank HTeaO Lampasas for providing tea for the event. We sure appreciate your support for the community!

The Adamsville Volunteer Fire Department and the Adamsville Community Center have enjoyed a long partnership together serving our local community. Recently we have made some behind-the-scenes changes.

What does this mean for you? In general, there won’t be much of a visible change for the general public. AVFD is going to continue paying the Community Center’s utility bills, maintenance on the A/C Heating Units and propane to the center. The main difference will be that if you wish to donate funds to the Adamsville VFD, you will need to do so directly. And if you would like to donate to the Community Center, you may do so directly to them. Contact information to the Community Center will be changing to the board members.

Both the Adamsville VFD and the Adamsville Community Center are still dedicated to serving Adamsville and Lampasas County residents, and that’s something that will never change!

Please join the Adamsville Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, August 1, 2026 as we host AirMedCare Network and CareFlite air ambulance services at the Adamsville Community Center! This is a perfect opportunity to learn about the benefits of signing up for air ambulance service. It can be a real life-saver for you or your family in the event of a severe illness or injury.

Come on out from 4:00pm - 6:00pm! The AVFD will be serving hot dogs during the event, and you’ll have the opportunity to meet some of the flight crews. We’ll be there to answer questions about this valuable service that’s available to everyone.
