Lampeter Fire Company No. 1 (Station 54) is an all volunteer fire department that provides fire protection for West Lampeter Township in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Lampeter Fire Company responds to about 300 calls a year. These calls can range from residential fires to barns and commercial buildings. They also include motor vehicle accidents, residential rescues, environmental rescues, automa
tic fire alarms, and carbon monoxide alarms. The Lampeter Fire Company has approximately 25 active members to cover 2 Engine's and a Squad . The fire department is entirely staffed by volunteers. Lampeter Fire Company is always accepting new members and is actively seeking new members. No previous experience is required, the only requirement is a willingness to learn to do the job. Lampeter Fire Company is an engine company. The department operates two engine's. Engine 54-2 is a 2011 Pierce Impel PUC . 54-2 is the first due piece on any building fire. Engine 2 carries 1,000 gallons of water as well as saws and tools for forcible entry. 54-2 carries 1200 feet of 5 inch supply line also. In addition to the 5 inch line, 54-2 carries about 1200 feet of attack lines as well. Engine 2 carries air packs, masks, hand held radios, and hand lights for a crew of 4 firefighters and an officer. Rescue Engine 54-3 is a 2006 Spartan Crimson . Engine 3 is the second First engine on motor vehicle accidents as it is equipped with a Amkus rescue tool. Engine 3 is the 2nd due engine on brush fires. Engine 54-3 also carries 1100 feet of 5 inch. Engine 3 carries several attack lines. Engine 54-3 is carries air packs, masks, and hand lights for a crew of 5 firefighters and an officer.
