BIG NEWS FOR ONE OF OUR OWN!

Today marks the beginning of an exciting new adventure for one of our Lanark Fire & Ambulance EMTs! Jason has officially started paramedic school through the UW Health Swedish American EMS Paramedic Program today!

We couldn’t be more excited to watch him take this next step in his EMS career. Becoming a paramedic takes dedication, countless hours of studying, clinicals, skills training, and a whole lot of hard work but we know he’s up for the challenge!

We’re proud to have him as part of the Lanark Fire & Ambulance family, and we’ll be cheering him on every step of the way. We can’t wait to watch him grow from EMT to PARAMEDIC! 🚑

Good luck on this new adventure Jason! We’re proud of you and can’t wait to see where this journey takes you!

Today, members of the Lanark Fire & Ambulance Department were honored to assist with the 5K benefiting two very special young ladies, Carlee and Callie, in support of breast cancer awareness and the fight against this disease.

We were proud to help keep participants safe along the route while our community came together for such an important cause. Seeing so many people show up in support of Carlee, Callie, and everyone impacted by breast cancer was truly inspiring.

Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, participants, and everyone who made today’s event a success. We are grateful to be part of a community that continues to rally around one another.

Today is the day!! Fish fry starts at 4pm! Once again River Cities Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration was kind enough to donate the use of a refrigerator trailer. We cant say thank you enough!! We cant wait to see you!!!

UPDATE: US Highway 52 is now open. We still do not recommend travel at this time.

⚠️ ROAD CLOSED ⚠️ US Highway 52 between Shannon Route and the east county line is closed until further notice. The road is not passable at this time.

Area departments will bring home the 4th place 1A State Finalist Eastland Cougar basketball team today beginning at approximately 4:30pm! 🚑🚒🚓

Route of travel will be Hwy 26/72 to Shannon, around Shannon, 72/73 to Payne Rd, through Lake Carroll Candlelight parking lot, then headed to Lanark via hwy 73, around Lanark to the high school for welcome back celebration. 🎉
