A screening of the short film “Takeover” by Emma Francis-Snyder on the Young Lords occupation of Lincoln Hospital in the South Bronx on July 14, 1970. Inspired by the Black Panthers and by student movements in Puerto Rico, the Young Lords in New York agitated for community control of institutions and land, as well as self-determination for Puerto Rico.
