All city roads have been reopened, and the barricades have been removed! A huge thank you goes out to our city departments – Public Works, Solid Waste, Fire Department, and Police Department – for their exceptional efforts in managing road closures and storm aftermath yesterday. Your hard work does not go unnoticed!

While we are keeping an eye on the flooding at Lindsay Pettus Greenway, we urge everyone to exercise caution when walking in that area. We appreciate the ongoing support and cooperation from all community members!

Please use caution on the roads today as flooding rains continue throughout the day into the evening. We will update the list below as roads are closed throughout the day.

Do not drive around any barricades or attempt to drive through a flooded area. Take an alternate route. If a road is flooded, call 803-283-3313 to let us know. Use caution and please stay safe.

The following roads are currently closed due to flooding:

Miller Street
Almetta Street from Clinton to Market St.
S. Plantation Rd
Clinton Avenue from Woodland to Almetta

City of Lancaster City Council will hold a Regular Meeting Tuesday, June 27th, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers.

As a reminder persons desiring to speak should notify the City Clerk prior to the beginning of the meeting. Please begin by stating your name and address. You will have up to 3 minutes to address Council. The entire Citizen Comments portion of the agenda shall not extend longer than thirty (30) minutes. All statements should be addressed to Council as a body and not to individual Council Members. Please be advised that this is not a period of dialogue with Councilor a question and answer period.
