🚨 California City Declares State of Emergency After Cyberattack

Suisun City has declared a state of emergency after a cyberattack forced officials to shut down the city’s information technology network.

The attack disrupted communications for the city’s police and fire departments, including the routing of 911 calls. Emergency calls are now being handled through the Solano County dispatch center while cybersecurity experts investigate and work to restore affected systems. A Palmdale family says they’ve been dealing with repeated harassment from a group of kids since moving into their neighborhood. According to the family, the group has shown up multiple times, allegedly carrying knives, throwing eggs, and making threats. They’re now asking the community to help identify those involved. If you recognize anyone in the video or have information about the incidents, contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Family members and Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help finding 14-year-old Nataly Michelle Orellana, who was last seen around 6:45 p.m. on July 8 in Palmdale.

Nataly is described as 4-foot-8, about 110 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black crop top and baggy gray cargo sweatpants.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station at 661-272-2400, Detective Villa at 661-272-2469, or Detective Cervantes at 661-272-2478. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.

A Lancaster mother has been charged with murder following the death of her 2-year-old son, Legend Lee, who authorities say died from complications of burn injuries.

Rayzhanna Marie Greenhoward, 28, was arrested after an eight-month homicide investigation. She faces charges of murder, assault on a child causing death and willful cruelty to a child resulting in injury or death.

Authorities have not publicly explained how Legend suffered the burns or what evidence led investigators to arrest his mother. Greenhoward remains jailed on $2 million bail, with her arraignment scheduled for Aug. 12.

A tow truck driver is fighting for his life after he was shot while responding to a AAA gas call on the 210 Freeway in the San Gabriel Valley early Friday morning.

The Jan’s Towing driver had stopped on the eastbound freeway near Grand Avenue to bring gas to a stranded motorist when he was struck by gunfire, according to the California Highway Patrol. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.

The suspected shooter fled, leading CHP officers on a pursuit that ended at a Covina gas station around 3 a.m. Authorities said the suspect exited his vehicle with a firearm, prompting an officer-involved shooting. The suspect was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The shootings triggered a massive investigation and shut down the eastbound 210 Freeway for hours during the busy holiday travel period.

Jan’s Towing said its employee remains in a fight for his life and asked the public to keep him, his family and the company’s team in their thoughts and prayers.

🚨 Attempted Jewelry Store Robbery Sparks Foot Chase at Palmdale Mall; Three Suspects Arrested, One Still Sought

An attempted robbery at K Jewelers inside the Antelope Valley Mall in Palmdale triggered a large law enforcement response Thursday afternoon after four suspects fled from the scene.

According to radio traffic and incident updates, the suspects attempted to steal jewelry but fled before taking any merchandise. Deputies said the group left in a black Mercedes before abandoning the vehicle near 10th Street West and Rancho Vista Boulevard.

The suspects then scattered on foot in multiple directions through shopping centers, parking lots and nearby businesses. One suspect reportedly ran through a McDonald’s drive-thru, another entered a sandwich shop, while deputies searched a nearby retention pond and surrounding area.

Authorities have detained three suspects. One suspect remains at large as deputies continue searching the area south of Rancho Vista Boulevard.

No jewelry was reported stolen. A traffic collision involving responding units was also reported during the incident, though all deputies were accounted for.

🚨 MISSING LANCASTER TEACHER

Loretta “Kay” Colwell-Pilitsis, a beloved Lancaster special education teacher, has been missing since Memorial Day, May 25, 2026.

Kay was last seen after leaving her Piñon Hills home on foot and never returning. Local reports say she did not take her phone, and her purse and ID were found at home.

She is 55 years old, 5’11”, with blue eyes, gray hair, and prescription glasses.

Her family, coworkers, and community are asking everyone in Lancaster, the Antelope Valley, Piñon Hills, Phelan, Wrightwood, and the High Desert to share her photo and check Ring cameras, dashcams, and surveillance footage from around May 25.
