Cullen and Amanda spent a few hours with Robbie Boone, getting a firsthand look at what it takes to run a successful livestock operation.

Cullen learned about herd management, rotational grazing, and the daily care that keeps animals healthy and land productive.

Robbie and Amanda also walked Cullen through several conservation practices installed through NRCS programs, including fencing systems, watering facilities, and prescribed grazing—all designed to protect natural resources while improving farm efficiency.

Cullen got to see the District’s no till grain drill that farmers can rent to use on their property.

A great day of learning, stewardship, and seeing agriculture in action.

🌿 Lancaster County, We Need Your Input! 🌿

It’s time to share your thoughts on our county’s resource concerns for the 2027 Local Work Group Meeting.

The Federal Farm Bill encourages Conservation Districts to gather feedback from the community so USDA programs can better support local needs. Your voice matters!

📝 Questionnaires are open until July 31, 2026.
Help us identify Lancaster County’s top resource priorities by ranking your concerns for each land use category under EQIP.

⏱️ The survey takes just 3–5 minutes, and there are no wrong answers—we simply want to hear from YOU.

Your participation helps shape conservation efforts right here at home. Thank you for supporting a healthier, more resilient Lancaster County! 🌾💧🌳

The Federal Farm Bill asks local Conservation Districts to gather input from community members to ensure that U.S. Department of Agriculture programs best serve each county’s needs.
