Hey, friends! Librarian Louise, here 👋 I just got back from a very bookish trip to York (UK, not PA!) where I took a class on the Rise of Periodical Print Culture through Rare Book School! Or as I like to say, “librarian summer camp.” I thought I’d share some photos from my week at the University of York, York Minster, and hanging out with Paddington in between hours of diving into print runs of 18th century periodicals like the Lady’s Magazine ✨ I also got a glimpse of home from an issue of the Gentleman’s Mag from August, 1776. Do you see it? 👀
