We are excited to share an important safety improvement happening around our school! In partnership with Lancaster Township, PA - Lancaster County , new school zone and traffic safety signs will soon be installed in the streets surrounding our school.

The new signage will include school zone designations with speed limit restrictions to keep folks safe at Burrowes, other School District of Lancaster students, and our entire community.

As the signs are installed, we ask all families and visitors to:
βœ… Observe posted speed limits, especially in school zones
βœ… Use designated crosswalks when walking with students
βœ… Allow extra time during arrival and dismissal as everyone adjusts to the changes
These improvements are part of an ongoing effort to create a safer environment for everyone traveling to and from Burrowes each day.

We appreciate your partnership in helping us keep our students safe.

We also appreciate the advocacy from families in making our community safer.

Together, we can make every trip to and from school a safe one. πŸ’™πŸ’›

Attention Residents,

We hope you had a safe and enjoyable holiday despite the high heat followed by heavy storms. Our Public Works crew has been diligently working to clear the roads for PPL to make the needed repairs to restore power to residents and keep roadways clear for travel. In addition, our crew has been and are continuing to clear inlets in the Township to reduce flooding chances with continued storms forecasted. It is impossible for our crews to reach every inlet in a day, so we kindly ask residents who live near inlets to clear them off if possible and bag the debris to avoid the same material from washing back over the inlet tops.

To assist residents in their cleanup efforts, our Woody Waste Facility will be open from 1PM to 7PM this week, 7/6/26 to 7/9/26, to give residents more hours to drop off debris at no cost to them. The same rules for drop off still apply, so please make sure the material is natural wood and not, for example, construction wood like if a limb fell on a wooden fence.

If residents have issues or concerns related to the storm, please call our front office receptionists. For emergencies, please call 911.

Thank you for doing your part in storm cleanup, and please continue to be safe throughout the week.
