Highlights from Sexual Assault Awareness Month at YWCA Lancaster:

Throughout the month of April, during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, staff members from YWCA Lancaster’s Sexual Assault Prevention & Counseling Center attended city council and borough council meetings across Lancaster County – for proclamation readings to recognize April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

YWCA Lancaster extends our deepest gratitude to Lancaster Township for recognizing April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Your commitment to supporting survivors is invaluable. Together, we can promote meaningful change for a safer future. Thank you for standing with us.

"Sgt. Carpenter and I were able to get them out safely with the support of some nearby residents. I’m happy to report they were taken to the emergency vet for treatment, and all are in decent health considering the circumstances with a shot at becoming big strong cats. we are so thankful to Sgt. Carpenter from the Lancaster Township Police Department, and every resident who stopped to lend a hand, however, WE STILL NEED HELP! They are so young that they need someone willing to foster and bottle feed them. We have some basic items to get the care started, and we have some info on how to care for them. We are looking for someone to help us with this ongoing effort. If you are interested or know somebody, call (223)221-7520. Thank you!
