City Council Meeting Highlights:

If you missed last night’s City Council meeting, here are a few highlights worth celebrating! 🎉

🏆 Congratulations to Greg Gregory!
Lancaster’s own Greg Gregory was honored by Main Street South Carolina with the Ganez Jontz Rehabilitation Award for his incredible work revitalizing the historic Marshall Building at 123 S. White St.

Once mostly vacant and in need of significant repairs, the building underwent a $900,000 revitalization, including new plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and interiors, along with a beautiful mural by local artist Lance Turner. The project brought the building from just 25% occupied to 100% occupancy, with all seven available spaces leased within weeks!

Judges praised Greg as “a local guy” who saw the potential in the building and helped breathe new life into an entire block. We are so proud to see this investment in our community recognized. Congratulations, Greg! 👏

⚾ Congratulations to the Lancaster County 10U AAA Baseball Team!
A huge congratulations to our local 10U AAA youth baseball team on winning the World Series Championship! 🏆 Each player received a certificate, and the team was presented with a plaque from the City of Lancaster during last night’s meeting.

Please join us in celebrating Greg Gregory and our incredible young baseball champions! Congratulations to all of our winners! 🎉

Arundel at Rugby will be closed beginning at 8:00 AM this morning and is expected to remain closed until late Friday afternoon due to road repairs on Arundel.

Detour: Please use Clarendon Drive and Bristol Place to get around the road closure.

📢 Accommodations Tax Grant Applications Are Now Open!

The City of Lancaster is now accepting Accommodations Tax Grant applications.

To apply:
✅ Visit the City of Lancaster website.
✅ Select the Form Center.
✅ Click on Grant Applications to access the application.

Please read the application and all requirements carefully before submitting. Incomplete applications or missing required documents will impact the overall score during the review process.

Important Reminder: Accommodations Tax Grants are awarded for projects and events that promote tourism and attract visitors to the City of Lancaster.

We encourage all applicants to review the guidelines thoroughly and submit a complete application. Good luck!
