🗓 The new school year may begin tomorrow, but Field Day '27 will be here before we know it!

🎪 Winskill Elementary School capped off the 2025-2026 school year with a memorable Field Day event, which featured competitive games, water games, carnival games and ice cold treats.

🏅 Grade level champions were crowned and three random students from those three classes were chosen to have a chance at dunking Mr. Sturmer at the dunk tank.

🫶 A special thanks to the Friends of Winskill for purchasing Field Day T-shirts for each student to wear, and to our Friends of Winskill parents, our high school tutors and 5th Grade Leadership Team for assisting in the carnival games.

🏟 We also ask that our younger Flying Arrows remain seated in the stands and watch the event, rather than traversing the high school commons and the school in general.

📣 Lancaster Community Schools is accepting applications for a special education paraprofessional.

🗓 The schedule for this position is 10 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 1 p.m until 3 p.m. The rate of pay is $19.30 per hour.

👩‍🏫 Based upon the candidate’s background and experience, the position may vary from assisting in an Early Childhood classroom, directing 1:1 support for a specific student, or supporting small groups of students while they succeed in the regular education classroom. Candidates will support both the academic and social/emotional learning needs of the students.

🤝 Candidates applying for this position should be caring, responsive, and flexible. The willingness to learn from and collaborate with other professionals, as well as communicate in a professional and transparent manner, is of utmost importance to support students and staff.
