What a week!!!!!

We celebrated the tradition of the 59th Kindergarten Circus, enjoyed the sweet songs of our 4K students, cheered on our fifth graders as they prepare for their next adventure, and cooled off with treats from the Vesperman Farms ice cream truck.

There were also promises made and promises kept. Thanks to the hard work of our first grade students, our principal followed through on a challenge that involved kissing a pig, proving once again that Winskill kids know how to get the job done. 😂

As we close another school year, we also extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mrs. Recker on her retirement. Thank you for the care and dedication you have shared with generations of Winskill students. We wish you a retirement filled with happiness and all the time you deserve to enjoy the things you love most.

Thank you to our teachers, staff, students, and families for another great year!

The last week of school always carries a little magic.

The countdowns, the excitement, the running through the fields with friends, freezies melting too fast, laughter echoing across the playground, and the feeling that summer has officially begun. Field Day at Winskill was full of all those moments, and the weather could not have been more perfect for a day of outdoor games, smiles, and fun for our students.

As the school year winds down, some people talk about “counting the days.” But at Winskill, our teachers are making every single day count. 💙💛

Right now, they are taking field trips, hosting 5Ks and circuses, rehearsing for concerts, and creating meaningful end-of-year memories, all while continuing to teach, encourage, and support kids each day.

And tonight, after already giving so much to their students, Winskill teachers welcomed future educators from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville into their classrooms to help provide real-world learning experiences for the next generation of teachers.

That says so much about who they are.

Our teachers are generous with their time, welcoming to others, and incredible role models for future educators. We are so grateful for the care, energy, and heart they pour into Winskill every day.

Friends of Winskill is excited to help celebrate the end of another wonderful school year by sponsoring a fun trip to the historic Grantland Theatre for our Winskill students!

Teacher Appreciation Week is one of our favorite weeks of the year because it gives us the chance to celebrate the people who pour so much love, patience, encouragement, and energy into our kids every single day.

This week, Friends of Winskill delivered coffee and special drinks to our amazing teachers and staff as a small reminder of how much they are truly appreciated. Thank you to The Perfect Blend Coffee Co. at Grant Regional Health Center for partnering with us to fill a very large order!

Thank you for the early mornings, the extra time, the caring hearts, the encouragement, the creativity, and the countless ways you help our students learn, grow, and feel loved. Winskill is special because of YOU. 💙💛

Reminder: We are so grateful for any donations to our garage and bake sale fundraiser! 💙💛

April is right around the corner, which means garage sale season is almost here! As part of the City Wide Garage Sale - Lancaster WI 2026, Friends of Winskill will be having a garage sale—along with a bake sale—at Tabitha Notscammer Wallin’s home.

We are so grateful to Brandon and Tabitha for opening their home for this fundraiser.

We are currently accepting donations, with a focus on gently used household items and children’s clothing. No adult clothing, please. Donations can be dropped off at Tabitha Wallin’s home anytime through Wednesday, April 29.

We’re also looking for volunteers to help with set-up and the sale, as well as bakers willing to contribute. Every item, every treat, and every helping hand support the work Friends of Winskill does for our school community.

Donut & Kettle Corn Pickup is this Saturday, February 7, from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Vesperman Farms.

Friendly reminder that Vesperman Farms orders will be ready for pickup this weekend! If you placed an order, please be sure to stop by and grab your donuts and kettle corn so everything makes it home safely.
