On Thursday, April 30th, the Lancaster Neighborhood Senior Center was invited to Columbia Senior Center for a Jazz concert. Performing was Dave Wilson & Prime Example. We had such an incredible time with the members from Columbia - dancing, singing and a catered lunch. A HUGE thank you to Brenda, Kira and Lydia for all of their hard work and to Dave Wilson & Prime Example for their incredible performance. We can’t wait until next year! ☺️

As we finish our first week into the New Year, we thought we would share the Lancaster Neighborhood Senior Center's activity calendar. You can use the attached link to check the calendar for our center (and others in Lancaster County) - and check anytime for each new month. We would like to extend our welcome to anyone over the age of 60 who would like to visit/join our senior center. Here at the center, we have a variety of different activities we offer daily. We are open 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. but typically our members leave right after they eat lunch. In the morning, we offer coffee, tea, and light breakfast snacks (ex: crackers, cereal, oatmeal). Thursday is our bingo day, so we start that promptly at 9:30 a.m. We do external trips such as a meal at Shady Maple Smorgasbord, Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, Museums, etc. and so much more! You will just have to come check us out for more info! 😊If you would like to come and want us to order lunch, we do need to know a week in advanced. On Friday, September 5th, the Lancaster Neighborhood Senior Center and Columbia Senior Center had their senior prom - all planned out by the wonderful people at Community Action Partnership of Lancaster County. Prom this year was Western themed, and the seniors absolutely loved it. They danced, had some breakfast snacks, a nice catered lunch and TONS of smiles! Our King & Queen this year was Mr. & Mrs. Stoy. We would like to thank everyone who came, everyone who planned this event and especially thank our sponsors this year! 😊

Today, the Lancaster Neighborhood Senior Center is having a bingo fundraiser. These fundraisers help us raise money for trips, birthday celebrations, and other activities. Last Friday, some of our members here at the Lancaster Neighborhood Senior Center attended a Jazz concert at the Columbia Senior Center. It was such a great time watching Dave Wilson & Prime Example play. Everyone had a great time dancing, playing games and eating lasagna for lunch. A big thank you to CSC for inviting us and to the band for an incredible performance! 😊

Today, Sue from Comfort Keepers came in to the Lancaster Neighborhood Senior Center to celebrate St. Patty’s day a little late. She made corned beef and cabbage, along with a bunch of sweet treats. The seniors absolutely loved it. Thank you so much Sue! ☘️ 😊

On Friday, January 3rd, the Lancaster Neighborhood Senior Center went on a special trip to Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre to see Irving Berlin's White Christmas. The seniors had such a great time! We ate a delicious meal, talked with friends until the show started and browsed through the gift shop. We are looking forward to doing it again soon! 😊
