General information

Online registration for Recreation Programs and Reservations for Parks Facilities can be completed via the following link: https://apm.activecommunities.com/lancasterrecny The Town of Lancaster has implemented a new photo ID card system for all Town Recreation programs. Moving forward, everyone must purchase a new photo ID card with our new ID system if you are participating in a Town program. All ID cards that were valid until 2019 or photo ID cards with no expiration date from the past ID system are no longer acceptable. All Town of Lancaster as well as all Lancaster School District residents must purchase a new photo ID card. Lancaster School District photo ID’s are only good for our leagues and programs at the schools. Non-resident ID cards are not valid for the Town of Lancaster Keysa Park pool. Non-residents must also have a photo ID card. There will be no fee for the non-resident photo ID cards because of the non-resident fee you pay to participate in the program. Resident Recreation and Resident Senior Citizen Photo ID cards are required for pool use, leagues and all activities. Cost for a Resident Recreation ID card is $10 per person and is valid for 2 years. Resident Recreation ID cards can be purchased at the Recreation office. Senior Resident ID cards are $5 per person and are valid for life. Senior NON-RESIDENT ID cards are $10 and are valid at the Senior Center for 5 years only. Non-resident ID cards are not valid for the Town pool. Senior ID cards are issued at the Senior Center located at 100 Oxford Avenue. ID’s are issued daily until 15 mins prior to closing. Two items showing proof of residency must be provided to obtain a card (driver license, current utility or tax bill, Board of Elections card, etc.). Expired ID cards cannot be used as proof. Any word on refunds for shelter reservations ?
are there any youth tennis programs you provide?
Westwood Park
Since swim lessons start next week, will the wading pool be open next week as well?
Trying to book a shelter and website is not working
is there youth basketball on saturday 2/2/19?
Can someone give me info on the children’s activity’s offered? I would like to be put on the mailing list? Especially for the time hortons soccer teams and tee ball?
Since the weather has been hot this summer with very few days below 80, will the pool stay open for another week and not close tomorrow for the season? I'm sure we can get enough guards to have the pool open for afternoons/evenings....
My kids (5 &8) take swimming lessons at the Keysa Pool. Today was to be their 2nd lesson. At their 1st lesson, my wife was advised that they needed their resident ID cards to take their lessons this year, and told them to bring them next lesson. Today, my wife presented their cards that we got last year and was told they cannot take the swimming lessons that we paid $20 each for because they dont have the "new" resident ID card that they started issuing this year at $10 a pop. Even though their cards dont expire until next year. So the town is now denying children the opportunity to participate in lessons our taxes and fees pay for because they decided to cancel unexpired ID cards without notice. I checked... the town website nor the rec brochure does not say the old cards are no longer valid. Needless to say, im quite pissed off. I left a message with the parks dept but havent heard back yet.
What is the deal with the lack of locker rooms at the pool? Is this temporary or all summer? I wish I would have known before signing up for parent/child swim lessons that there is one single bathroom stall for all bathroom/changing needs. We are paying more than ever to use the pool, and the lack of changing facilities is really unacceptable. Why wasn't the construction done during the 10 months the pool is closed?
Why was the bike path sprayed with pesticides?
Volleyball article from last Wednesday??
