Last Thursday was a busy day for us! In addition to our Donor and Volunteer Appreciation Celebration, Volunteer Managers Shannon and Lauren attended the Solomon Lancaster Give A Chance GAC event! It was so great to network with other local nonprofits and participate in an event that benefits the community.

Last Thursday we gathered over 100 of our volunteers, donors, and friends to celebrate their collective impact! Our annual Donor and Volunteer Appreciation Celebration brings together the amazing volunteers who advocate for children every day, and the incredible donors who make their work possible. We had a great time socializing at Bent Creek Country Club, and everyone got to take home a CASA cupcake from AloBakes Lancaster!

Thank you to United Way of Lebanon County for funding our program! This is the third consecutive year we have received funding that directly supports the growth of our program in Lebanon County. Thank you for supporting our mission and for building a partnership with us!

We have two Becoming a CASA Information Sessions coming up in June where you can learn all about our program and how you can get involved as a volunteer! Our next pre-service training class starts in September, so now is the perfect time to join us.

🏳️‍🌈 Every child deserves to feel safe, accepted, and celebrated.

This Pride Month, CASA of Lancaster and Lebanon Counties stands in support of LGBTQ+ youth in foster care who deserve a future filled with love, dignity, and belonging. Many LGBTQ+ youth in the foster care system face additional challenges, including discrimination, rejection, and lack of affirming support.

As CASA advocates, we work to ensure that every child is placed in a safe, affirming home where they can be their authentic selves.

🌟 Join us in celebrating Pride Month by committing to being an ally for LGBTQ+ youth! Every child deserves to be seen, valued, and loved.

Thank you for meeting with us PA State Rep. John Schlegel!

I met with Jessica Laspino, executive director of the CASA of Lancaster and Lebanon Counties to discuss program updates, the state budget and the need for more CASA volunteers. CASA advocates for the best interest of youth in the foster care system. Laspino shared that the program has the capacity to serve only about 20% of youth in out-of-home placement in Lebanon County and has a waitlist of children who need a CASA volunteer.
