ADVOZ brings 60 years of experience in face-to-face mediation and restorative justice for families
We hope you'll join us for Around The Table 2026, our annual fundraiser dinner and auction! Advoz seeks to transform conflict and build community with face-to-face dialogue programs in and beyond Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Formed in 2017, Advoz was formed from the merger of two long-serving com
munity organizations, Conflict Resolution Services (Lancaster Mediation since 1980) and the Center for Community Peacemaking (LAVORP since 1995). The two organization shared some of the same founders and used similar proven face-to-face mediation methods to provide meaningful, cost-effective alternatives to the traditional justice system. Both organizations have also developed pro-active training programs to prevent escalated conflict, violence and crime, a major reason for the merger and now a focus of their combined work. MEDIATION provides a safe, non-judgmental way of resolving differences and finding solutions to challenging disputes while serving the relationship. Since 1980, mediation has been available for neighbors, family, real estate, landlords/tenants and others to reach solutions together more quickly and inexpensively than resorting to the civil court system. RESTORATIVE JUSTICE involves people harmed by crime and violence, including victims, offenders and community members in a dialogue process that addresses the harm and how it could be made right. Since 1995, the organization has helped victims and especially juvenile offenders make things right through a dialogue process used successfully here and around the world. TRAINING in mediation, restorative practices and other facilitation techniques equips our community to be their own peacemakers. Whether its personal communication, interpersonal mediation or group facilitation, Advoz's training team draws from a toolkit of both established and innovative approaches to conflict, division and harm.
