Wheatland — Where Everybody Belongs! 🐯🖤💛🐾

We had an amazing first day of school! Our 8th Grade WEB leaders warmly welcomed our newest Tigers to Wheatland with a giant pep rally filled with team competitions, games, and plenty of school spirit. Even our teachers got in on the action! 🙌

After the pep rally, students toured the school, practiced using their locker locks (and we’ll definitely keep practicing! 😉), and cooled off with some delicious popsicles. 🍧

It was a fantastic day and a great start to the school year! We can’t wait to welcome our 7th and 8th grade students on Wednesday.

Here’s to an incredible year ahead! 🎉

The first day of school is here, and we’re ready to welcome our students back to the School District of Lancaster!

Students in grades K-6, Martin School grades 7-8, and McCaskey High School grade 9 begin Tuesday, Aug. 18.

Students in grades 7-8 at Jackson, Lincoln, Reynolds, and Wheatland middle schools, along with McCaskey grades 10-12, begin Wednesday, Aug. 19.

We know first-day photos are part of the tradition, and we want to see yours. Share your photos in the comments or tag SDoL in your posts so we can celebrate the start of the 2026-27 school year with you.

Celebrate Lancaster tonight!

Celebrate Lancaster is back, and the School District of Lancaster will be there! Join us Friday, Aug. 14, as North Queen Street comes alive for one of Lancaster’s biggest community celebrations. While you’re enjoying the food, music and activities throughout the day, be sure to stop by the SDoL table near the kids area.

Our team will be available to connect with families, answer questions and help with student enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year.

Celebrate Lancaster runs from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. We look forward to seeing our students, families and neighbors downtown!
