Lancaster EMS Lancaster EMS is a nonprofit, nationally accredited ambulance service located in Lancaster, PA.

In addition to 9-1-1 emergency services, Lancaster EMS also provides non-emergency transportation, education, and community paramedicine programs. Lancaster EMS is the busiest EMS provider in Lancaster County responding to over 58,000 requests for service in 2024 alone. Our employees and volunteers are highly skilled, continually trained and are committed to providing the highest quality pre-hospital care in the region serving our community members and our County visitors.

Thanks to the generosity of our community members, Refresh Lancaster has secured enough funding to sustain operations for the next year! Lancaster EMS is grateful for everyone who donated to help keep this vital program running. Your support allows us to continue providing free access to showers, medical consultations, and personal hygiene essentials to those who need them most.

Lancaster EMS held our Wall of Honor dedication ceremony today. This brand-new tribute was mounted outside of our Fairview Ave station in partnership with Charles F. Snyder. It showcases the following three categories:

- Lifetime Achievement: recognizing 25 years of dedicated service
- In Memorium: remembering those lost in the line of duty
- Major Gifts: honoring high-impact individual donations

Thank you to Charles F. Snyder for assisting us with the planning and funding this project. We are proud to showcase and pay tribute to all of the names featured on the Wall of Honor.

In addition to the dedication ceremony, staff celebrated the end of EMS Week 2026 with food from Ry Guy’s, EMS trivia led by our Board Chair Dr. Bledsoe, and a special visit from Sully the golden retriever and Winnie the poodle from KPETS!

In honor of EMS Week’s Save a Life Day, we partnered with Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank to host a blood drive! Donors not only saved lives, but also received two Lancaster Stormers ticket vouchers as a thank you. We appreciate everyone who took the time to donate today!
