We’re still learning—and that’s okay. 💪🏾

Yesterday, the African American Cultural Alliance Infamous Unstoppables Drill Team & Drum Squad traveled to Mercer County Community College to compete in the semifinal drill & drumline competition.

Just showing up with 40 kids across three categories was a victory in itself! While we didn’t take home the top prize (shoutout to our drummers for placing 3rd 🥉), this journey has always been about more than winning. It’s about growth, discipline, fun, and creating unforgettable experiences for our youth.

Now it’s on to the CHAMPIONSHIP round—and we’re going to need our community to help make this happen. Whether it’s support, donations, or simply showing up and cheering us on, it all matters.

The infamous Unstoppables Drill Team & Drum Squad — Class of 2026 — has officially been revealed.

This is more than a team.
This is more than practice and performances.

This is rebirth.

A reminder that when something is built with purpose, community, and heart, it can never truly be lost. It only waits for the right moment, the right people, and the right energy to bring it back to life.

What once felt uncertain is now moving again.

What once was quiet now has rhythm again.

What once was lost… is new again.

A fifth grader at Wharton Elementary and a new member of the infamous Unstoppable Drill Team family, Laylah’G is now an award-winning essay writer! She was recognized at the Crispus Attucks Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast for her powerful essay on this year’s theme, “Bending the Arc.”

Recruited through our collaboration with the Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster, Laylah’G reminds us that small acts of kindness—like helping someone out or sharing a high five—can make a big difference. We’re so proud of you! 🌟

Today, the African American Cultural Alliance was proud to sponsor the YWCA Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration. Through our Culture and Performing Arts Program, infamous Unstoppable Perform engaged community members and youth from the YWCA Child Care Center in movement and instruction rooted in unity and expression.

Experiences like this reflect Dr. King’s legacy—bringing people together, uplifting our culture, and empowering the next generation through community, creativity, and shared purpose.
