Lancaster EMS is always looking for more volunteers. We will be running close to 900 calls this year. We will need to fill the shoes of some of our EMTs that are looking to retire in the upcoming few years. Now is the time to consider joining Lancaster EMS. The number of class hours of the different levels (EMR, EMT, AEMT) are possibly going to increase in the fall of 2026 or 2027. We have an EMR class starting on January 12, 2026 through April 13, 2026 here at the Lancaster Fire Station. We also have an EMT class starting on Jan 13, 2026 through April 30, 2026 also at the Lancaster Fire Station. Classes are 2 nights a week. The first night of the week is through virtual. The second night of the week is in person at the fire station. All training, testing, and books are paid by Lancaster EMS. You can visit our website at www.lancasterems.org for more information about us and also look under the training tab for more information about the upcoming classes. If you are interested in helping your neighbors and friends and also to keep your Lancaster EMS volunteer, please reach out to Jeff Boughton (LEMS Director) at [email protected] or give him a call at 608.485.0540. You can also contact any Lancaster EMS personnel for more information. Hope to see you in class!!

Lancaster EMS along with Lancaster Fire are still working on soliciting donations towards the remodeling of the Lancaster Fire Station. The 2.25 million dollar renovation is around 75% funded through grants, LEMS contributions, LFD contributions, local businesses, and residents. We could still use your help in securing the rest of the funding. If you are able to help us out, your donations are tax deductible. Help us instead of paying more taxes. We can provide a receipt if needed for your tax preparer. Thank-you for your continued support of Lancaster EMS and the Lancaster Fire Department!! Happy Holidays!!
