Important dates! The May 15th deadline is quickly approaching for any business personal property returns. Please check with your CPA to ensure timely returns and if you need assistance with finding the forms online please contact the PVA office 859-792-3291.
We have mailed Homestead Exemption letters for those turning 65 and qualify for the $49,100 exemption. To qualify you must own, occupy and maintain your residence as of January 1st of the year you are applying. If you feel you qualify please call or visit our office at 7 Public Square Lancaster, KY 40444.
We have completed the quadrennial field review for 2026 and are working to finalize the tax roll. We are working new construction countywide and will be sending property assessment notices out in the coming weeks. Tax roll Inspection period will be May 11th-26th, 2026. As always if you have questions please call or drop by the office for a visit.

Please pray for the safety of our first responders, Garrard County Road Department, State road department, and utility workers in these conditions. Huge Thank you for all they do to keep our roads and citizens safe and the utilities in service.

Huge shout out to Royce and Kay Hall, Frank Atkinson, John Smith, Stephanie Swinney, Piggin Out Restaurant, Garrard County GOP, Tommy and Tara Noe, Montez Ison, Garrard County local officials and staff, Garrard County magistrates, Kentucky Ag Commissioner Jonathan Shell, USDA Rural Development State Director Travis Burton, and everyone who put in time to make this event a great evening. We hope that everyone enjoyed the food and fellowship. We are blessed to serve Garrard County and appreciate your support. We are GC!
