✨ Back to School Shop with a Cop ✨

On Tuesday evening, we had the privilege of hosting our annual Grant County Back to School Shop with a Cop event! Thanks to the generosity of our community, members of the Grant County Sheriff's Office, Platteville Police Department, UW-Platteville Police Department, Boscobel Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Lancaster Police Department were able to help 15 families and 32 kids purchase much-needed school supplies to help start the school year off right.

A huge thank you to Platteville Walmart for hosting us and to their amazing staff for all their help. We’d also like to recognize the WGLR Holiday Auction, Gooch's Greenhouse, Grant County Thrift Shop, and many others who continue to support the Grant County Shop with a Cop program.

Because of this generosity, we are able to help families and make a real difference for kids across Grant County.

Summer is almost over already, and it's time to start thinking about school! School supplies are a needed expense, and sometimes families struggle to get what their kids need to start the school year. That is where we come in.

We are accepting nominations for families that might need some help getting those school supplies this year.

Our annual Shop with a Cop Event will be taking place on August 18th, 2026, at 5:30pm, at Walmart in Platteville, and we need your help identifying some families.

This mint colored Iphone 15 or 16 was found on CTH A, just south of Bagley near the cemetery, on Friday afternoon, after the Sheriff's Office received a crash detection alert from it. The phone is passcode protected, but has this picture on the homescreen. The 17th Annual Southwest Wisconsin Tractor Ride will take place tomorrow, July 25th, 2026. There could be up to 80 tractors participating in the ride, which is scheduled to leave Kruel Farms on CTH K north of Lancaster at 9am. The ride will travel through Lancaster and is scheduled to stop for lunch at the Potosi Fire Department between 11:00am and 1:00pm, before looping back around and returning to Kruel Farms.
