LCES provides staffing for Emergency Medical Services and is the County's Emergency Management Organization.

Lancaster County Emergency Services is responsible for providing staffing for Emergency Medical Services to supplement volunteer staffing. The Department is also responsible for coordinating with the volunteer fire departments and volunteer rescue squads and providing support to those organizations. Emergency Management and Coordination are also the responsibility of the Department. As such, the D

epartment develops plans for emergency response and coordinates those plans among County departments, local organizations and state agencies.

There is a risk of strong to severe thunderstorms today, primarily in the late afternoon and evening hours. The strongest storms will be capable of producing damaging winds. Heavy rainfall and localized flooding is also possible in any storm. Otherwise, very warm and humid today with highs well into the 80s.
