We are accepting applications for a part time Dog Control Officer!

To apply, please fill out an application and submit to the Dog Control office located at 525 Pavement Rd building 32 Lancaster, NY. Residency not required but preferred. Must be available to work Friday evenings and Saturdays.

With the summer months ahead of us, we wanted to remind dog owners to leash their dogs at all times while off property, this also includes parks.

This ordinance is in place to not only keep others around you safe but to keep you and your dog safe as well. We have been receiving a lot of complaints regarding dogs off leash, especially in the parks.

Please leash your dogs. Violating an ordinance may result in an appearance ticket for court. Thank you!

Spring is here and we have been receiving a lot of calls regarding fawns and what to do. Please leave the fawn alone, the mom will come back. Fawns are often left alone and hidden , this is normal behavior for deer. Thank you!

This beautiful girl is available for adoption!!
Luna is a Pomeranian Husky mix (she looks more Husky but a fun-sized Husky) who is about 3-5 years old. Luna would do best in a home with older children and bigger dogs. Not cat friendly. If interested in meeting this sweet girl, please contact Lancaster Dog Control at 716-683-5129

Everyone, meet Beau! This beautiful boy is ready for his redemption and is now available for adoption!

Beau came to us abandoned, emaciated and heartbroken. Despite all of that, he has a heart of absolute gold and just wants to be loved 🥰

A little bit about Beau. Beau is a senior, about 10-12 years old. But don’t let that fool you. He still loves to go on walks, meet new people and new dogs. He’s a social boy who’s looking for a human who loves to socialize just as much! Beau is an intact male and is still gaining weight after everything he’s been through but other than that, he received a clean bill of health from the vet! He does great with all dogs, big and small. Cats and children are unknown but this boy is extremely gentle so we can’t imagine him not loving children. When Beaus not out being a social butterfly, he loves to snuggle up with his people and enjoy an afternoon nap 😴 he’s truly the most perfect boy!
