Virginia firms licensed in architecture, engineering, land surveying, interior design, or landscape architecture should note an important firm renewal update.

New firm licenses issued beginning in May 2026 will now renew biennially based on the month of initial issuance instead of the previous statewide December 31 odd-year renewal cycle.
