Last night the WHTPD held our annual award ceremony.
There were numerous officers who were recognized for their outstanding work in 2025.
One incident in particular highlighted the teamwork and inter-agency cooperation between multiple departments and Lancaster County Dispatchers.
The WHTP would like to thank our Township Board of Supervisors for their annual recognition of Police Week by way of a Proclamation, as well as for honoring officers who have fallen in the line of duty.
We would also like to thank Lancaster County Commissioners Alice Yoder, Ray D'Agostino, and Josh Parsons for their letters of recognition for the officers involved in the Breezyview Park incident.
The WHTPD Officer of the Year for 2025 was Officer Ruhama Lamure. Officer Lamure had an outstanding year in 2025. Her high-volume proactive policing, Investigative excellence, technical expertise and initiative, and commitment to duty made her stand out among her peers.
