Dauphin County man charged with shooting East Lampeter Township man to death; holding woman and children hostage found with self-inflicted gunshot wound to head
A Dauphin County man who been charged with shooting a man to death and holding his ex-girlfriend and four of her children hostage after breaking into their East Lampeter Township home Saturday morning has been located with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head.

Tobias John-Allen Click, of Susquehanna Township, was charged with a single count each of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, third-degree murder, burglary, kidnapping to inflict injury or terror, four counts of kidnapping of a minor, one count of unlawful restraint, four counts of unlawful restraint of a minor, four counts of false imprisonment of a minor and one count each of false imprisonment and abuse of co**se.

Click, 29, shot and killed Ernesto Rodriguez inside a residence in the 400 block of Aaron Lane early Saturday morning. A woman, who is Rodriguez’s current girlfriend and Click’s ex-girlfriend, and her four children were inside the residence at the time of the shooting.

State police later located Click in Cumberland County hours later. Click apparently shot himself in the head after a vehicle pursuit.

Click remains in custody at a Cumberland County hospital. His current condition is unknown.

The woman told police she and Rodriguez had both received messages on social media threatening to kill them during the early morning hours from an account they believed to be Click’s. Though the woman wanted to immediately contact police, Rodriguez convinced her to wait, she said.

After returning to sleep, the couple awoke shortly after 6 a.m. to find that Click had entered the home. Video surveillance footage from inside the residence purports to show Click had entered the home through a downstairs living room.

Rodriguez attempted to arm himself with a handgun but was shot multiple times by Click before he could do so, the woman told police.

After firing the shots Click then pointed the handgun at the woman as she sat with her children and threatened to kill her and also repeatedly kicked Rodriguez in the head as he lay motionless on the ground. The woman begged for her life as Click continued to threaten her, she said.

As Click held the woman and children hostage she received multiple phone calls which she attempted to silence twice until Click ordered her to answer them. After answering the call the woman told Click that police were coming, after which he fled the residence and threatened to kill himself.

Police found Rodriguez already deceased and having suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

East Lampeter Township Police Officer Heather Waltman filed the charges.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
