Due to damages to the autoroad up Mt. Prospect, we've had to change the venue for tomorrow evening's program (July 18 7PM), from Weeks State Park to the Lancaster Town Hall, 25 Main St. Lancaster, NH.

The program features colummist and author Gary Moore: "Exploring Vermont & NH - the wonderful region we call home."

We're sorry for any inconvenience this might cause. We hope to be back at the park soon.

Flash! July 11, 2024

We're very sorry to announce that last evening's severe storm has damaged the auto road on Mt. Prospect to the extent that it has forced its closure.

We're unable, therefore, to do this evening's program featuring John Harris.

Thank you for your understanding. We'll have further updates as we receive them from the State.

Per the latest forecasts, Weeks State Park will be just outside the upcoming total solar eclipse. NASA has updated their maps, and the park is about 1.5 miles just outside totality now. The edge is just south of the junction of Rt. 3 and Rt. 2. A very close miss, unfortunately!

There are no special activities being held at the park. The auto road gate will remain closed due to off-season road conditions, and there are no restrooms available. Visitors are welcome to park and hike up like any other day; however, there could be parking issues due to limited parking.

If you do choose to view the eclipse from Weeks State Park or from other areas outside of totality, make sure that you have protective glasses.
