This year we served as health and wellness coordinators on the Mayor's Health and Wellness Council. Sadly, today marks the last day of our service year. Thank you for letting us serve you. We look forward to seeing what the Mayor's Health and Wellness Council has in store the next years.

The 2015-2016 school year ended yesterday and it has made us very reminiscent. We are so proud of the success of the Mayor's Health Academy's pilot year and would like to thank everyone who contributed! It wouldn't be possible without our community sponsors and partners. Thank you for tuning in all year. Check out some memories we cherish from this school year!

Good morning, friends!
Our kindergartners at Joshua Elementary, Sierra Elementary School, and Sunnydale Elementary all did such a phenomenal job exercising and leading a healthy lifestyle this year that we rewarded them with a dance party! What a way to end our pilot year!

This week we took some end of the year BMI's (Body Mass Index) at Sunnydale and Joshua elementary to measure the impact "ABC for Fitness" has had in the lives of our pilot year Kindergartners! Thanks to the help of volunteer nurses from our sponsor organizations, taking the height and weight of 100's of Kindergartners was easy! A HUGE thank you to our volunteers from Antelope Valley Hospital and Kaiser Permanente Thrive.
