4-H Moonlight Challenge - happening now through September 30!
You are invited to explore our nearest neighbor in the night sky with 4-H, family and friends. Learn about the phases of the moon, observing features on its surface and how our eyes adapt to the dark. The 4-H Moonlight Challenge is a self-guided 4-H astronomy project for anyone interested in learning more about the Moon. This project can be done by 4-H individuals, families & friends or 4-H clubs. It involves observing the phases of the Moon, planning a backyard skygazing night to observe the moon and night sky, and keeping track of your observations in an Astrojournal. Individuals who complete the challenge will receive a 4-H Moonlight Challenge Patch!

Join Us For a Family-Friendly Community Event to Support End 68 Hours of Hunger

This family-friendly event will take place at two hubs, where teams of family, friends, or clubs will participate in a relay-style walk or trek totaling 6.8 miles: one mile for each hour of the End 68 Hours of Hunger initiative. Along the way, there will be fun activities, interactive learning stations, and opportunities to raise awareness and support this important cause.

This kickoff is just the start! Throughout the coming year, youth will have the opportunity to plan and implement local projects addressing food insecurity, discover ways to help neighbors, and take on leadership roles in their communities. Every step, idea, and effort helps build a stronger, healthier, and more connected local community: your participation truly matters!

Held rain or shine! Registration opens April 1st; closes May 15th.
