Six Flags® Read to Succeed Six Hour Reading Club!
This exciting program encourages students in grades
K through 6 to read for fun. Read to Succeed is a free program sponsored by Six Flags Theme Parks. Every student who completes six hours of recreational reading before the school’s deadline noted below is eligible for a free admission ticket valid at one participating Six Flags Theme Park.

Join the for the annual “BOO–VIE” NIGHT Fall Festival and Carnival held at the Helen Giddings Amphitheater in Lancaster Community Park. The event will be Friday October 30, 2015. Activities will begin at 6:00 pm

This free, family friendly event will provide the opportunity to participate in activities to include pumpkin decorating contest, face painting, arts & crafts, refreshments and carnival games. Wear your costume, bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy an outdoor movie under the stars featuring Disney Pixar’s animated film “Monsters University”.

What an amazing honor!Congratulations!

Congratulations to Ms. Sonya Howard on being named the Tuesday Tiger Teacher of the Week! Ms. Howard is a 5th grade science teacher at Rolling Hill Engineering Academy. She is a 14-year teaching veteran and this is her first year with Lancaster ISD. She prides herself on providing the best education possible for all of her students because she truly enjoys teaching and learning. When asked why she teaches, Ms. Howard simply replied, “I teach because I love school!” Thank you Ms. Howard for giving the students of Lancaster ISD your very best every day!

Dr. McFarland found these two adorable little tigers this morning on the Rolling Hills Elementary red carpet. Twin sisters, Kendolyn and Kendol Hubbard, gave us a double dose of cuteness for the 2nd day of school. They are very excited about their first year of prekindergarten and their mother, Lancaster ISD Alum LaTasha High, also joined the Rolling Hills Elementary PTA this morning! Now that’s what we call a good 2nd day of school!

September 30 is Lancaster ISD Day at the IHOP Restaurant located at 790 North I-35. You are invited to join us from 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM as we celebrate National Attendance Month. During this time, twenty percent of the proceeds from your purchase will be donated back to Lancaster ISD’s Attendance Rocks Program. From 4 to 5 pm, K104 will be onsite helping us celebrate.
