Fire Station 37 got a special visit from Kaden, a Boy Scout from Troop 33 in Land O’ Lakes.

Kaden stopped by over the weekend with donuts for the crew as a thank‑you, and he got a full tour of the station during his visit.

🚨 STRUCTURE FIRE - PORT RICHEY: Fire Rescue crews quickly extinguished an attic fire at a Port Richey home on Thursday (5/28) morning.

crews responded to reports of a structure fire at a home on Newell Drive. Smoke was showing from the home as crews arrived.

Fire was found in the attic and was quickly extinguished. No one was inside the home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

🔥 Advancing Firefighter Health Together 🤝

This week, welcomed visitors from Puget Sound Fire, who traveled all the way from Washington state to learn more about our cancer‑prevention initiatives.

Our team provided a full tour of our Health & Safety Division, including our Occupational Health Clinic, our Decon 1 truck, FPAT training, and several of the programs we’ve built to protect our crews on and off the fireground.

We’re proud to collaborate with departments across the country and share the practices that help keep our first responders safe and healthy.

RING THAT BELL! 🔔 🎉

On Tuesday, May 26, Firefighter Frank McBride reached an incredible milestone — he rang the bell after completing his final chemotherapy treatment at Moffitt Cancer Center in Land O' Lakes.

Dozens of his brothers and sisters stood proudly beside Frank and his family, celebrating his strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit.

Frank, your fire family is with you every step of the way. We are happy to celebrate you and this powerful moment of hope and healing. ❤️

✨ TRAINING SPOTLIGHT: TRENCH RESCUE 💪

Earlier this month, members of ’s Special Operations Division were hard at work advancing their trench rescue capabilities.

These scenarios are some of the most high‑risk and complex incidents our crews face, and this training brought new techniques and upgraded tools that strengthen both safety and speed on scene.

Investing in this level of preparation ensures our team is ready when the call comes in and lives hang in the balance. Training like this is what keeps our community safer every day.

A purr‑fect save by Station 3C! 🐾🐈‍⬛

On Thursday, our C‑Shift crew from Station 3 sprang into action for a rescue that was equal parts unexpected and adorable.

Three tiny kittens were discovered stuck inside a car’s exhaust in the Port Richey area, but thanks to the team’s quick thinking, steady hands, and big hearts, all three were safely freed. 🩷👏
