Some people leave behind memories.
Some leave behind a legacy.

Today we remember our brother, Firefighter Dustin Haberle. โค๏ธ๐Ÿš’

Dustinโ€™s name still gets brought up around the kitchen tables, in the bays, and during stories shared between crews. The kind of person who could make an entire room laugh, show up when someone needed help, and make an impact without ever asking for recognition.

The fire service is more than a job โ€” itโ€™s a family. And losing one of our own is something time never truly erases.

Today, we honor Dustin, his service, his friendship, and the mark he left on so many lives.

Forever our brother. Never forgotten. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

๐ŸŠ Itโ€™s Alligator Day in Florida! ๐ŸŠ

Living in Florida means sharing our backyard with some incredible wildlife โ€” and few animals are more iconic than the American alligator.

Your Pasco County Professional Firefighters respond to a variety of calls every year, including the occasional encounter with our scaly neighbors. While alligators are a natural part of Floridaโ€™s ecosystem, itโ€™s important to always give them plenty of space, keep pets away from the waterโ€™s edge, and never feed them.

A fed alligator can quickly become a dangerous alligator.

Today, we celebrate one of Floridaโ€™s most recognizable residents and remind everyone to stay wildlife aware while enjoying the outdoors.

๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿš’ Kitten Rescue ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿฑ

Crews from Station 38 came to the rescue after a tiny kitten found itself in a situation it couldnโ€™t get out of on its own. Thankfully, your Pasco County Professional Firefighters were able to safely rescue the little one and get it back to safety.

Not every call is a fire โ€” sometimes itโ€™s four paws and a whole lot of meowing. โค๏ธ

Your Pasco County Professional Firefighters from Rescue 27 and Heavy Rescue 1 D Shift spent time at Steppโ€™s Towing sharpening their vehicle extrication skills. ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ”ง

Training in real-world environments helps crews stay prepared for the challenging situations they face on the road every day. From stabilization techniques to advanced disentanglement scenarios, continuous hands-on training is critical to keeping both our firefighters and our community safe.

Thank you to Stepp's Towing and Heavy Transport for the opportunity and support. ๐Ÿ‘

While many were spending Memorial Day weekend relaxing, the crew at Station 17 C-Shift chose to pay tribute through sweat, grit, and determination. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ

The Murph Challenge isnโ€™t easy โ€” and thatโ€™s the point.

In honor of those who never made it home, these firefighters pushed through:

โ–ช๏ธ 1 Mile Run
โ–ช๏ธ 100 Pull-Ups
โ–ช๏ธ 200 Push-Ups
โ–ช๏ธ 300 Squats
โ–ช๏ธ 1 Mile Run

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. Itโ€™s a time to remember the heroes who gave their lives in service to this country, and today your Pasco County Professional Firefighters from Station 17 carried that reminder with every rep and every mile.
