Today is and we don't think there is a better image to represent the connection between soil health, plant/food health, and body health than this. It shows the benefits that soil nutrients provide for plant growth, and then the benefits those nutrients provide when the plants are eaten.
A tomato grown in poor soil may look like a tomato, but it cannot provide the nutritional benefits needed to keep our bodies healthy. Adding compost to soil provides organic matter, nutrients and biology to grow healthy plants and healthy people.
