⚠️⚠️Update… asphalt has cooled and cones were removed.⚠️⚠️

Work continues between 205 and 207 Chaingate Circle. The stone work was completed yesterday and we are back out there today to apply the asphalt.

As a result, one lane will be closed and flaggers will be used. Delays should be minimal but please allow extra travel time.

As the project progresses, we will provide updates.

09/16/2026

‼️‼️4PM update. Work has been completed for the day. We will return tomorrow morning and install the blacktop. The area is coned off and please use caution while driving in the area. ‼️‼️

The Public Works crew will be working between 205 and 207 Chaingate Circle today to perform base repair. As a result, one lane will be closed and flaggers will be used.

Delays should be minimal but please allow extra travel time.

Due to the size of the base repair area, the work will likely take the majority of the day for the stone work and the blacktop will be finished tomorrow.

As the project progresses, we will provide updates.

UPDATE.... Work has been completed and Chaingate has been reopened.

Work is continuing on pipe replacements on Chaingate Circle.

We are blacktopping the recently replaced pipe on Chaingate Circle. As a result, Chaingate Circle will be closed in front of 206 Chaingate Circle.

We hope to have this pipe project finished today and we will start the pipe replacement in front of 208 Chaingate Circle tomorrow.

We are sure everyone is aware of the severe storms that impacted our area last night.

There didn't appear to be too much damage. We had a tree down on Healy place which has already been cleared and a handful of other areas with branches down and they have already been cleaned up as well.

Heatherly remains closed due to a tree on wires, into the road. When PECO clears the wires, we will come back out, clean up the tree, and reopen the roadway.

The traffic signals at Route 41/Newark Road and Route 41/Penn Green Road are operating on generator power now.

During a recent thunderstorm a sinkhole developed along Cambridge Road.

The replacement pipe was finally delivered and we will be replacing the pipe today. In order to do this work, Cambridge Road must be closed.

100-108 and 113 Cambridge and all Hermitage Court addresses must use Sunny Dell Road. 110 and 115-143 Cambridge along with Chaingate Circle addresses must use Reynolds Road. During the road closure, please obey all signs and seek alternate routes of travel.

Due to the depth of the excavation and the amount of utilities in the dig area, we will likely have to keep the road closed until tomorrow morning.

⚠️⚠️Paving has been completed and Old Limestone Road has been reopened⚠️⚠️

The final day of paving is here!! The level course will be applied to Old Limestone Road today.

During the application of the level course, Old Limestone Road will be closed to through traffic.

During the road closure, please obey all signs and flaggers' directions. While the roadways will be closed to through traffic, residents will be able to get to and from their houses but you may have to do that from a different way than normal. Please let flaggers know where you are trying to get to and they will get you there with as little inconvenience as possible.

⚠️⚠️7pm update… another long day but the wearing course on New Garden Road is complete and the road is reopened. Base repair on Old Limestone Road has been completed for the day and the road is reopened as well. ⚠️⚠️

The wearing course on New Garden Road will be applied today. This is the final step in the paving process which consists of smaller stone that gives the road a smooth quiet ride. During the wearing course, New Garden Road between Route 41 and Newark Road (Penn Green side) will closed to through traffic starting around 6am.

Base repair will continue on Old Limestone Road today as well. During the base repair work, Old Limestone will also be closed to through traffic.

During the road closures, please obey all signs and flaggers' directions. While the roadways will be closed to through traffic, residents will be able to get to and from their houses but you may have to do that from a different way than normal. Please let flaggers know where you are trying to get to and they will get you there with as little inconvenience as possible.

Weather permitting, the tentative paving schedule is as follows:

Tuesday 8/18 – Wearing Course New Garden Road and Widening Old Limestone Road
Wednesday 8/19 – Widen Old Limestone Road

Monday 8/24 – Level Old Limestone Road

⚠️⚠️6pm update… New Garden base repair has been completed for the day and the road has been reopened⚠️⚠️

Day three of widening/base repair is here for New Garden Road. During the base repair, New Garden Road between Route 41 and Newark Road (Penn Green side) will closed to through traffic starting around 6am.

Additionally, a pipe was damaged yesterday during the milling operations so some of the Public Works crew will be on site replacing the cross pipe. This pipe is between the two Heatherly intersections and shouldn't cause too much extra disruption.

During the road closures, please obey all signs and flaggers' directions. While the roadways will be closed to through traffic, residents will be able to get to and from their houses but you may have to do that from a different way than normal. Please let flaggers know where you are trying to get to and they will get you there with as little inconvenience as possible.
