Wyoming Outdoor Weekend and Expo

Wyoming Outdoor Weekend and Expo is an event to celebrate outdoor recreation in and around Fremont County, Wyoming.

The Wyoming Outdoor Weekend (WOW) has been put on through a partnership between the Lander Economic Development Association and the Wyoming Game & Fish Department to showcase the Fremont County area as a premier outdoor recreation destination, promote the local economy, and inspire interest in and conservation of Wyoming’s wildlife resource.

The 12th annual Wyoming Outdoor Weekend & Expo is just around the corner on May 15 & 16, 2026 at the Lander Community and Convention Center!

We’re putting together an incredible lineup of vendors showcasing a range of products, services, and missions, and we still have a few spaces left. If you’re an outdoor company, conservation non-profit, or other business that connects with wild places in any way, reach out!

See you May 15 and 16!

What even IS Wyoming Outdoor Weekend (WOW)? First and foremost, it’s a celebration of the wild Wyoming spaces where we work and recreate. It’s also a showcase of the incredible outdoor industries in the entire region, and an opportunity to support our local Fremont County businesses. The event is rooted in education, community, and conservation.

WOW is hosted through partnership between the Lander Economic Development Association and the Wyoming Game & Fish Department. Each year, proceeds from the event are split between an economic development project and wildlife/habitat project.

In previous years, WOW has distributed funds toward the Highway 26 Wildlife Crossing project; broadband expansion in Lander; GPS collars for bighorn sheep; reliable air service support; hosting a wildlife biologist from Ghana; local business recruitment; wildlife crossing signs; and so much more!

Stay tuned for more on how YOU can contribute to the betterment of our community through WOW, by participation in our Shop Local Raffle, becoming a vendor or a sponsor, attending a learning seminar, and more.

Save the date for the 12th annual 2026 Wyoming Outdoor Weekend & Expo, May 15 & 16, 2026 at the Lander Community and Convention Center!

We'll be back this year with vendors, presentations, family-friendly hands-on activities, a turkey calling contest, and, as always, FREE admission. Stay tuned for more details.

Thank you to everyone who purchased a raffle ticket for your support for the conservation of Wyoming wildlife! Every raffle ticket sold supports the missions of the Wyoming Game Wardens Association and the Wyoming Outdoor Weekend, both of which include advocating for and getting youth involved in the conservation of Wyoming's wildlife and wild places.

Our immense gratitude goes out to Commissioner John Masterson, who generously donated this Commissioner's License.

WOW is just around the corner! Join us May 16 & 17 for two days of family-friendly activities, learning seminars, outdoor vendors, live music, and more!

Friday, May 16 - Event opens to the public from 4-8 pm with Happy Hour with Pushroot Brewing, Wind River Brewing, and Blushing B***o (2 free drinks included with Friday registration!) and FREE appetizers! 5 pm live music with The Tinderwoods!

Saturday, May 17 - Event opens to the public from 9 am - 8 pm with breakfast treats available from Lander Bread Share, food available from Double Dubs, Gary's Rojo o Verde, Ten Tempura, and Wind River Pizza. WWF Wild Game Cookoff starts at 5 pm! Vendor expo from 9 am - 4 pm.
