Today we gathered to celebrate a true pillar of the Landis Police Department. After 25 dedicated years of service to our community, Officer Steve Helms is officially hanging up the badge.

Officers, staff, and Steve's family shared a final meal together to honor his incredible career and the impact he’s had on all of us. While we are happy for him as he starts this new chapter, he will be greatly missed around the department.

A huge thank you to the China Grove Family House Restaurant for hosting us. The food was fantastic, and the service was top-notch, as always.

The North Carolina Governor’s Highway Safety Program “Speeding Slows You Down” Campaign kicked off on Monday, July 20th, and will run through Sunday, July 26th.

🚨Slow down, North Carolina!

Beginning Monday, law enforcement agencies across the state will join the "Speeding Slows You Down" campaign. Expect increased patrols through Sunday, July 26, as officers focus on reducing speeding and improving road safety.

Happy Retirement, Officer Steve Helms! 🎉

Today, we mix a little bit of sadness with an incredible amount of pride and gratitude as we announce the retirement of Officer Steve Helms!

After more than two decades of dedicated, unwavering service to the town of Landis, Officer Helms is officially hanging up his badge and radio. For over 20 years, Steve has been a cornerstone of our department, a mentor to younger officers, and a familiar, reassuring face to the citizens of our community.

Whether he was patrolling the streets, answering calls in the dead of night, or simply sharing a laugh and a cup of coffee with residents, Steve represented the absolute best of what it means to wear the Landis uniform. His commitment, work ethic, and genuine care for this town will leave a lasting impact for years to come.

Please join all of us at the Landis Police Department in congratulating Officer Helms on a phenomenal career.

🚗 🚦 South Rowan High School Driver's Ed Visit! 🚦🚗

The Landis Police Department had a great time speaking with the students in the South Rowan High School Driver’s Education class recently!

We loved getting to chat with the next generation of drivers about the importance of safe driving, staying focused behind the wheel, and making smart decisions on the road. Building these connections and helping keep our youngest drivers safe is what community policing is all about.
