Congressional candidate Zack Mullock showed up in Vineland today for the community back-to-school event at the Carl V. Arthur Sr. Recreation Center.

He was shooting hoops with local kids, talking with residents, and thanking the amazing volunteers and organizers from the Vineland African American Community Development Corporation (VAACDC) who made this giveaway happen for our local families.

In contrast, Jeff Van Drew has turned his back on our community and is enjoying his steaks in DC.

Which representative will serve people over self-interest? The answer seems clear.

Come on out today to the Carl V. Arthur Center! Plenty of back to school resources available for our community's children.

Together as residents it is time we call on the City of Vineland to formally dedicate tax revenues from the development of the Data One project to community-enriching programs.

Residents are right to be angry over tax abatements granted a corporation currently worth approximately $56 BILLION without any clear plan or promise for how the resulting tax revenues will support struggling people of our city. This is unacceptable.

At the same time, new data shows Cumberland County ranks among the top loneliest county in NJ, with over a quarter of adults lacking social support systems. Also unacceptable.

Our town needs investment in its people. We need better community facilities, public gathering spaces, transportation, community gatherings, and local support programs. Where will this windfall of tax revenue go? Does anyone know? Has anything been committed? Not to our knowledge.

Corporate development must serve the public good. What would YOU like to see the revenue dedicated to?

Serving our community means showing up for our neighbors and building a strong foundation the next generation. The children of our city are the future of Vineland, and supporting them is our responsibility and our purpose.

With that in mind, we want to share a thoughtful and generous upcoming event hosted by the Vineland African American Community Development Corporation (VAACDC).

Bookbag donations are welcome and encouraged.

Let's be the change we wish to see. Please join us tomorrow as we support the hosting organization and our community!

What a special evening with the Latino Caucus of the Vineland Democratic Committee!

A heartfelt thank you to Congressional candidate, Zack Mullock, for inviting us out for dinner and live music at The Chalfonte Hotel in Cape May.

Zack was a gracious and generous host! There was no politicking or campaign speeches, just genuine warmth, great conversation, and real connection.

He made every person in the room feel seen, heard, and valued and even busted a move or two with the ladies!

Thank you, Zack, for a night to remember!

Excellent Letter to the Editor from today's Philadelphia Inquirer:

"Broken promise
New Jersey Rep. Jeff Van Drew, who represents Salem, Cumberland, Cape May, Atlantic, and parts of Gloucester and Ocean Counties, said the Republican Party will “get killed” in the 2026 midterms if it does not address rising healthcare costs.

“We need to deal with [healthcare] now because, No. 1, it’s the right thing to do, just morally,” Van Drew said on Nov. 7 on Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street. “No. 2, we’re going to get killed [in 2026].”

A recent editorial from the New York Times provides one of the clearest explanations I’ve seen of how Republicans, including Van Drew, have slashed healthcare: They did it passively, by allowing the Affordable Care Act subsidies to expire, and they did it actively (with Van Drew’s vote) by slashing Medicaid in the One Beautiful Bill (although they cleverly provided that the cuts do not take effect until after the midterm election).

Van Drew knows cutting healthcare is immoral — he essentially said so himself — yet he followed Donald Trump’s orders and voted for these cuts in one of the poorest districts in New Jersey. Van Drew put his “undying support” for Trump above the interests of his constituents. In his words, Republicans deserve to “get killed” in the upcoming election."
