At the top of Bauer Mountain I found this while walking.

U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey benchmark. A permanent metal disk set into the ground to mark a precisely measured location and elevation. Sadly, the numbers can’t be seen anymore. Elevation just below 2000 feet.  So many treasures yet to find. 

Family walks and checking on progress. Timber cleanup continues and Spring will bring new life to the Mountain.
